About Me

George Kokkos

B.A. Ancient History and Archaeology

Born in Athens, I’ve studied Archaeology and Ancient History in Britain and in Greece. Since 2010 I’ve been organizing educational seminars and experiences for schools and universities from Europe and the US.

I specialize in the origins of Democracy in Ancient Athens and how those radical, ancient ideas were revived by European thinkers and the American Founding Fathers. Based on the lessons that History teaches us, I study the practical solutions that all modern republics can implement today, so we can make our world a better place.

I strongly believe that Education For All and Citizen Participation are the two vital elements of Democracy -our best hope to improve our societies through justice and equality.

Causes I Care About

  • Children’s Education
  • Women’s Empowerment
  • Increased Citizen Participation
  • Defend and Strengthen Democracy
